From 630 to 2 500 kVA at 10 kV, the S22-M meets Grade 1 (NX1) of GB 20052-2024, China's energy-efficiency standard for power transformers, and has a fully sealed tank. A 2 000 kVA, 10 kV unit passed type tests to IEC 60076 and GB standards in May 2026.

GB 20052-2024 sets the minimum allowable energy efficiency for power transformers and grades them. Grade 1 (NX1 in the model code) is the top grade, with the strictest loss limits in the standard. The lab measured this unit's losses and judged them against the standard.
